Fall Equinox 99

Eighth grade science students at Charleston Middle School in Charleston, Illinois are active participants in the Passport to Knowledge project - Live From the Sun. During this exciting event, they are collaborating with students and scientists from across the country in learning about the Sun, solar activity, space weather, magnetism, the aurora, and the Earth - Sun connection. They are also using student built magnetometers to monitor disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field caused by solar activity. See Class Activities for images of student work.
