Course Goals
To develop an
understanding of the current fisheries techniques and management
practices being applied to manipulate freshwater and anadromous
fisheries of North America.
To reinforce previously
acquired ecological knowledge by applying it to a specific topic (i.e.,
fisheries management).
To develop practical skill and competence in fish identification, fisheries assessment, and management plan implementation.

Projects
Short quizzes will be given on an irregular and unannounced schedule. In addition, short assignments, such as reading and outlining journal articles as well as worksheets will be given throughout the semester.

No makeup exams without a very valid and written excuse.
