This schedule will be modified as needed.

Text: Physical Geology (Exploring the Earth) 4th ed. by James Monroe & Reed Wicander; students are expected to read the indicated chapters for the day indicated.

Lab Manual: Aerial Sterograms , by Harold Wanless.

Suggested Materials: 10-20 C-thru protractor scale, magnet, pocket knife, penny, hand lens, pencil, eraser, colored pencils

Grades will be based on percent (90,80,70,60). Attendance is expected and will affect borderline cases. Approximately 1/4 of the grade will come from lab. There will be several exams, a comprehensive final exam, a practical lab quiz, possibly both announced and "pop" quizzes and homework assignments. Exams and quizzes will include questions on the assigned reading, lab work, homework, and lectures. There will be a severe penalty assessed to any assignments turned in late, including nonacceptance of the work. One comprehensive essay based make up exam will be offered one time only during the last two weeks of scheduled classes.

A field trip will be scheduled; details will be provided at a later date.
