Compare and contrast the organization, format, and content of one issue each of two history journals in the periodicals room of the library (if in doubt consult me). Write an essay in which you show which one you like best and why. Devote one paragraph to comparing the journals organization qualities, one to format, and one to content. In your concluding paragraph discuss the future of these journals be looking up each on the web to see if they have websites and/or online versions. (Two pages, double-spaced maximum.)

Also: Bring in a new or revised flyer for Historia submissions (a Call for Papers). Read Marius, A Short Guide to Writing About History, introduction (and, if you have time, chapter 1).

Next Thursday (next class meeting), I will ask you to sign a sheet noting: your order of preferences to serve as either Historia co-editor; History at Eastern newsletter, co-editor; or Historia On-Line and style coordinator co-editor.
