       A troubled young man with a mystical kinship with birds struggles to find his identity among conformist family and friends.  After becoming a priest, he cannot reconcile his sexual desires or questioning mind with the strictures of the church; he undergoes a dark night of the soul and in desperation consults a therapist.  But then he meets Jordan, a captivating artist full of energy and confidence, who helps him embrace new possibilities, including a pilgrimage to witness migrating Sandhill cranes, at home with themselves and the cycles of life.
