Concept, design and photography for publications for all of Eastern
Illinois University including, but not limited to recruiting, alumni, development
and marketing materials both in print and online. Duties for Old
Main Line as described below continued. Position includes planning,
tracking, design and pre-press functions for all publications.
Assistant Director of Alumni Services (Dec. 2002 - Nov. 2004)
Duties include serving as editor, photographer and graphics/page designer of
all alumni publications, including Old Main Line and other publications and
printed materials as needed; designing and maintaining the web site for alumni
services/Alumni Association; serving as the primary University contact for
reunion classes; assisting with the development and organization of on- and
off-campus alumni events, and other duties as assigned by the Director of
Alumni Services.
Instructor: Publicity Methods (Fall 2008)
Taught class in which students were instructed in methods of publicizing events, products and organizations through the news media. Practical application stressed. A class for those who will do publicity as part of their careers in business, family and consumer sciences, science, etc.

county-wide newspaper. Other jobs included some photography and page design

Duties included designing weekly covers for the Verge, the entertainment
supplement to the Daily Eastern News. Also designed various graphics, photo
illustrations and layouts for the Daily Eastern News and its special sections.

Edited weekly entertainment supplement to the Daily Eastern News. Duties included
generating, assigning, writing and editing stories. Wrote semi-weekly editorial
column and "Caught On the Web," a weekly web site review column. Also designed
weekly covers and inside pages.

Worked as editor for city desk of Daily Eastern News. Assigning and wrote stories
and a monthly column. Copy-editing duties included copy editing, writing
