Important Review Articles

The Art and Science of Total Synthesis at the Dawn of the Twenty-First Century - A beautiful, exciting, inspiring review and discussion by Prof. K.C. Nicolaou (Scripps), one of the best synthetic chemists alive.  Actually an 80-page article in Angew. Chem., Int. Ed. (2000, 39, 44-122), it features wonderful graphics and 455 references.  Must be perused to be appreciated.

Asymmetric [4+2] Cycloaddiitons Mediated by Sulfoxides - long overdue review on an important aspect of asymmeric synthesis.

The Chemistry of the Antibody Molecule - enzymatic catalysis, synthesis of new catalysts, immunochemistry

The CP Molecule Labyrinth - A Paradigm of How Endeavors in Total Synthesis Lead to Discoveries and Inventions in Organic Synthesis.

Diels-Alder Reaction in Action - another beautiful K.C. Nicolaou review.
