I welcome you in your exploration and excitement to the home of the stars. It gives me great joy and honor to work with such bright minds daily, constantly striving to develop students' knowledge of teaching through research and scholarship; furthering the critical understanding of world culture in its complexity and diversity. In these and other ways, my classes actively support the mission of Eastern Illinois University. Our mission states: “ The University community is committed to diversity and inclusion and fosters opportunities for student-faculty scholarship and applied learning within a student-centered culture.” Additionally, we embrace the integrative learning initiative as a model to help students to make connections, as they become engaged reflective practitioners. William Blake asserts: He whose face gives no light, shall never become a star.

The website is comprised of teaching resources for pre-service teachers, faculty development resources, and integrative learning initiatives. It also includes a photo gallery, video presentations, and student highlights.
