How to Login to
WebCT Sites
Please use your EIU e-mail address since you will need
that logon for WebCT and using EIU mail will make my contacting you far
simpler as well.
This course will require you (later --- not
immediately) to use WebCT in order to obtain some of the course
materials and to complete some assignments. In order to gain access to
your WebCT Course, you will need to know your WebCT user ID and
password.
Your user ID for WebCT is your e-mail user ID. All EIU
students have an e-mail user ID that is assigned a few days before the
beginning of their first semester at EIU. If you can't remember, you can
go to www.eiu.edu/text/search/
and search for your name.
Each semester, your password will be reset about one
week prior to the beginning of classes by EIU. Your password will be
reset in the following formula - L6789F:
L - Represents the first letter of your last name.
6789 - Represents the last 4 digits of your social security number.
F - Represents the first letter of your first name.
Currently, you may also obtain your user name and
password by searching PAWS. If you experience difficulties in obtaining
this information through the suggestions listed above, go to the User
Services Office in the Student Services Building to obtain your user
name and password in person.

You can also easily go to the WebCT login page by
going to EIU's main page and look down the left column and you'll now
see WebCT in red letters. This will often be
your easiest route to a WebCT login
