Science
Eastern Illinois University
September 25, 2009
My undergraduate work was done at South Dakota School of Mines and
Technology in Rapid City, S. D. My graduate degree is from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison and where I received a Ph. D. in mathematics under the
direction of I. Martin Isaacs. Since then, I have taught at the University of
Ibadan, Nigeria; Auburn University, Alabama; and the University of Evansville,
Indiana. I have spent sabbatical semesters at Kent State University and at
the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Computational Algebra at the
University of St. Andrews, Scotland. Since 1985, I have been on the staff of
the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at EIU. I enjoy
reading poetry, medieval history, mysteries, and modern fiction. When time
allows I bike, back-pack, fish and camp (not necessarily simultaneously).
