I. Emily (Redman) Keas. b. 1821 in Ky. (1850 Federal Census of Macoupin Co., Il.) Daughter of Isaac and Frances ( ) Redman. She married George Gipson Keas of Brighton, Macoupin Co., Il., on Nov. 9, 1841, in Brighton, Macoupin Co., Il. (Marriage license). They lived first at Brighton, Jersey Co., Il., in the 1850 Federal Census, and later in Bear Creek Twp., Christian Co., Il. near Palmer. They had two or more children. Emily died before 1859, and George married again, to another Emily, and had four more children. George died Jan. 3, 1873, aged 55 yrs., in Bear Creek Twp., Christian Co., Il., and is buried in Anderson Cemetery just northwest of Palmer, Il.

(1850 Federal Census of Macoupin Co., Il.; eldest son in Census was b. c. 1815) Isaac and Frances lived in Montgomery Co., Ky., in the 1820 Federal Census, and in Macoupin Co., Il., in the 1850 Federal Census. They had a number of children of their deceased daughters living with them. Isaac died in Macoupin Co., Il., in Aug., 1859, according to the Federal Mortality Census. He was 61 yrs., and died of a spinal complaint, perhaps tuberculosis of the spine. Frances died in Macoupin Co., Il., in Dec., 1859, of a lung disease. Tuberculosis?
