Light. It is so much a part of the world around us that we take it for granted. We receive most of our information by light through our eyes-from reading this Physics text to watching television to enjoying beautiful scenery or a ballet or a ball game!.
How does light behave? What are some of light's characteristics that affect the way we see things? Light reflects from many surfaces. Light reflects from a smooth water's surface much like a mirror. You may see a mountain reflected in a lake so clearly it is difficult to tell if a photo is upside down or not. Is this photo right side up or upside down?
