KINEMATICS

Kinematics is the description of motion.

Kinematics is concerned with

"What is happening?" or

"How is this moving?"

Motion was first understood by Galileo in the 17th century.

What we learn from very simple systems -- like this marble rolling along a ruler -- will be applicable to other, large-scale motions.
