Students should keep an annotated scrapbook of relevant news articles and bring it to class each meeting. The articles must be hard copy from the printed media - no online materials are acceptable. There will be several short essay quizzes and a final essay exam.

The scrapbook should be in a 3-ring binder with dividers separating various topics and students comments written in good English next to the article. The scrapbook will be graded.

A oral presentation on the term paper is required. Use of Power Point is encouraged if appropriate.
