On the map of China, neatly draw and label the following features.  Remember, use inverted V’s to indicate mountain ranges.
Refer to your atlas or pp. 472-473 in your textbook.

1. Using the atlas, locate and label the following landforms:
-the Gobi, Ordos and Taklimakan Deserts
-the Altay (Altai) mountain range
-the Sichuan Basin
-the North China Plain

2. Locate and label the following water forms:
-Chang Jiang (Yangtze River)
-Huang He (Yellow) River
-Zhu Jiang (Pearl River)
-Sea of Japan
-Yellow Sea
-East China Sea
-South China Sea

3. Place a dot at the location of the following cities and label them neatly (refer also to page 485):
-Beijing
-Shanghai
-Guangzhou
-Lhasa
-Shenyang
-Hong Kong
-Harbin
-Chongqing
-Macao

4. Label the major islands of Japan (see page 521 of the textbook):
-Hokkaido
-Honshu
-Shikoku
-Kyushu

5. Label the Japanese cities with a population of one million or more people.
