Spring Semester 2009

These web-based materials are designed to help the student to prepare for class and review lecture notes and textbook materials, and to provide information, due dates, and reminders for students in Biological Sciences 3520.  THIS MATERIAL IS NOT INTENDED TO REPLACE ATTENDANCE IN CLASS AND READING OF THE TEXTBOOK, but rather as a guide to the organization and location of important concepts.

Question

Questions of general interest to the class will be posted here, along with answers
(or at least hints to help discover the answer).

Q:  Why are you teaching Animal Physiology this semester?

A:  Normally Dr. Marjanovic teaches Animal Physiology in the spring.  She is taking a leave of

absence to pursue a research opportunity at the University of Illinois, so I was assigned to the

      course.

Q:  What textbooks will we be reading?

A:  You were given two textbooks by the Textbook Rental Service.  All reading assignments will

come from Widmaier.  Use Randall's textbook, which takes a more comparative approach, as

      supplemental reading.
