Mother
of
my
mind,
I
return
to
your
arms
all
fears
gone
&
hopes
need
less
at
ease
I
forget
where
you
end
&
I
begin.
2
Mother
of
my
mind,
on
the
rim
of
your
sphere
the
lady
waits
what’s
her’s
&
mine
you
make
the
same
3
Even
a
black
&
white
cat
is
one
color
for
you,
O
Mother,
the
girl
I
met
today
&
I
are
one
skin.
4
Her
smile
&
mine
shine
the
same
her
eyes
&
these
light
up
at
once
&
when
I
explain
you,
O
Mother,
she
looks
deep
inside
&
says
"Yes,
I
under
stand."
5
No
wonder
I
would
wed
her
to
night
in
my
dreams—
there’s
no
other
way,
but
in
you,
our
Mother.
...
11
O
Mother,
as
I
rose
up
to
see
her
today
her
door
swung
open.
She
[who
else?]
was
sweeping
yet
I
couldn’t
see
her
face
I ,
too,
felt
as
dust.
12
&
Mother,
when
all
dust
is
swept
what
will
be
left
of
me?
You
seem
an
empty
floor,
but
also
more
than
ap
pe
ar
an
ces.
Surely
no
more
or
less
than
me.
Where
is
the
dust
or
duster?
