Twenty years ago the Viking spacecraft landed on Mars and gave mankind its first detailed look at the surface of another planet. In late 1996 NASA plans two return trips to the Red Planet through the launching of the Mars Global Surveyor and the Mars Pathfinder. Prepare now to embark on the exciting exploration of another world.
