In a recent article, Beebee and Sabbarton-Leary argue that even we grant that Kripke successfully showed that water is essentially H2O, this line of argument cannot be extended to all natural kinds. In this paper, I argue that their argument is wrong. I argue that their argument is based on the idea that an analytic proposition cannot be true in virtue of metaphysical essence but this idea is wrong. I further argue that the theses that analyticity and necessity a posteriori are mutually exclusive, which Beebee and Sabbarton- Leary seems to take for granted, is not something we can take for granted.
